Fun morning at Strawberry with a neighbor and his grandson. We launched at about 8am, headed to the northern part of the lake and started trolling.
Within 15 minutes, we had a double. Throughout the morning we caught 13 and had another 5-6 hook-ups trolling the northern bay.
The Berry is funny... there are weeks I'm up there and it's all rapalas all the time. Then sometimes spinners. Then sometimes worms.
Today it was Jakes -- didn't matter the color: white, silver, gold. All boated fish. Everything else was really slow.
We didn't catch anything buts Cutts though. It sounds like the Bows have gone to crayfish. That was one lure I have in the bag of tricks that didn't take a turn in the water.
We only fished until noon then I had to leave. I'd call that a Good but not necessarily HOT trip to the Berry.
We didn't bring anything home. Most were 17-19".
