Gonna hit a pond on Tuesday. Normally I go for Strawberry but it hasn't been real good lately. Anyone have any recent reports from Scofield or Huntington? Or any good advice on how to heat things up at the Berry?

I've been doing pretty well at strawberry over the last 3 weeks. The fish have moved up in the water column and are only 1-6 feet deep, even the larger cuts. I've mainly been using wolly buggers in olive, black, orange, and a good chub imitation. Some of the takes have been pretty light so set quick. I've mostly been fishing at the soldier creek marina, there seems to be the most protection from the wind there.

Sat. I was hooking up at 20 to 30 feet at Bryants Fork.
I had one nice one on the way in at about 15'.
Water temp in 40's they are still a bit deep, but I am sure there are plenty times they move in. Just don't rule out deep as they could and are, still shallow in deep water.

I'll have to keep that in mind, I wasnt seeing that many that deep on my fish finder, but that's good to know. Is there cover from the wind anywhere near bryant's fork? I find that at 12 every day i've been there it starts to get real breezy.

That sounds about right. There is a couple of bays the the wind is not as bad, but the waves are there.
I personally like SC too.

I was up there Saturday too. I saw the legendary Flygoddess catch a ton of fish. I however had to fish until almost 1pm before I started slamming them. Ended up with 21 total. Would have been more but I was fishless for the first 3 hours.
I found the ones I found out over 40' of water and marked them from about 8 to 20' deep. But was only fishing a type III line and that was running about 6 feet deep.
Hope that helps. BTW I was in the East Portal Bay.
