Salmon Steelhead 11 3 thru 6
#1
I was only able to get out on Sunday hooked four landed 2 fishing below N. Fork...... would have been 4-4 but my netter knocked 2 fish off. Fresh cured eggs were the hot ticket.
Back from the Steelhead trip. Mostly fished around North Fork.

My friend hooked up on four and caught two keepers and a wild. He was using a double bead rig with just bare hooks below the beads and bottom bouncing/drift fishing.

I hooked up on two but only got a quick look at them before they shook off the hook. Not enough practice with the barbless hooks I'd guess.

My other friend had one pulled right to the bottom of a boat dock and durn near on dry cement when his knot broke. Off it went.

I was using a Chartreuse and orange corky with feathers hooked on below it and a lead pencil weight 2-3 feet above it to bounce the bottom drift fishing. A couple red salmon eggs on the hook. I probably should have tryed to hook up the bobber set-up and used a jig.

Fish Counter says big pod should be around North Fork and above in the next day or so. Fish and Game says he's talking out his butt. Who knows? Wish I could have stayed another day or two to find out.

Great weather.
