What a wonderful day afield. 2 limits, and 8 species. Mallard, Gadwall, Widgeons, Redheads, Spoonbill, Teal, Merganser, and a pair of Canvasbacks. When we left they started to come heavy. Wished we could have stayed and got a bunch more. Oddly enough, the Pintails only came in range once and I was limited at the time.

I did 12 species one day about 6 years ago. Had a Ringneck, Cinnamon Teal, Scaup (greater), and a Surf Scoter. The Scoter was a neat surprise. Next day out my friend shot an Oldsquaw (long talied duck). Both were verified one at the DWR Ogden office, the other by an officer in the field. That was a weird year.
