Hey I was wondering if any of you guys here have been to Pybus Point Lodge? If you have what are some of the things we should not forget to do? or See? Give me your insight on this Alaska trip.

Haven't been to that specific lodge, but, take the best rain gear you can get. (Helly Hanson or Grundens) Pants/bibs and jacket. Bug dope with Deet for land excursions/inland fishing. Fishing is fantastic in that area, you should have a blast.

I love SE Alaska but I'm mostly a DIY type. When you going and what are you targeting? I assume you know about the newer SE Alaska halibut limit of 1 under 37 inches if with a guide and 2 (no size limit)if without a guide.

I would like to live in Alaska and sail there on my future sailboat.

Hey Jim thanks for the tip. I will get a pair of them. I usually am one of them DIY kind of guys too. We will be going after everything all 3 kinds of Salmon, Halibut, and Cod. They're even going to take us out and let us do a little crabing and shrimping. It will be nice for a chance to have somebody else fillet the fish. This has been on my bucket list for a long time.

Jealous? Yes I am.
You deserve a good trip, and I hope you get it. (the gun is a good idea -- you never know what kind of crazy you're going to end up shacking up with) [sly]
