Got on the water well before sunrise and got to where we wanted to fish before the sun peaked over the eastern hill sides. Not as good of fishing as it was last weekend when it was overcast and a pinch windy. It was windy for the initial boat ride but after that nearly windless for a good part of the day and not a cloud in the sky. Not too many other boats either. I hit all the areas I wanted to this morning all by ourselves.

We had 50 in the boat before noon and for some odd reason like I always do we stayed out there to nearly 4pm. Only bagging another 10 and having to really work for them. One Striper and the rest LMB. Nothing worthy of a picture. All one to two pounders.

We had fun and all that matters. We would work a little cutout/cove off the main lake with Spinnerbaits, Squarebills, Lipless, Topwaters, etc and make a killing then hit the whole area again with Texas rigged worms and just make another killing the second go around. More or less clean out the aggressive ones then come back and sweep up the less aggressive ones.

The Lipless cranks we didn't break out at all last weekend. Spinnerbaits and Squarebills were doing a fine job. A little tougher to work in the shallows with lots of branches but were very very productive today. We switched to them since we weren't seeing the same activity we did last weekend on Spinnerbaits/Squarebills.

Nice weather. I only tossed on a sweatshirt this morning. Neither of us bothered nor needed bibs.

[cool]Sounds like a great day of fishing. Good action on a variety of baits.
