A friend and I fished off the State Park Tuesday morning from 7:45 to 9:45 AM. We had 6 dead sticks and 2 jigging rods. We caught 10 fish with no brookies. Only two fish were taken on the dead sticks. The fish seemed to prefer actively moving white Paddlebugs tipped with a meal worm. Nine were on the Paddlebugs with one on a small Kastmaster. We fished in six feet of water under 10 inches of ice. It was a very windy morning which made keeping the holes open a chore.

Thanks for the report. Hoping to get up one more time this weekend. The Kastmaster was very effective for us on Monday.

Which group were you guys? We were the first ones out, 2 Eskimo huts out past the point. Stupid wind was a pain. Curt there was only an inch or 2 most of it had blown off.

Bmarsh...we were the two guys that came in right behind you. We only stayed for a couple of hours because we're local and only 20 minutes away. The fishing was great, but the wind made it tough. I'm glad you guys did well.

Wish had an ice sail boat with so little snow on it. Was the road in drifted much?

Because of the wind, some of the road had 12" while other sections were bare blacktop. Lots of ice under the snow on the road. Four wheel drive and slow, no problem.
