Went up last weekend hoping to drop a cow and all that fell was snow Just wondering if anyone has been up there this week or if they do go up around that area if the elk have come down. We watched 150+ head go over the ridge in Reader canyon on saturday morning but couldn't get up to skyline drive then that night and sunday and monday it just snowed I have til the end of the year to fill the tag. Any info would be helpful. Snow was too deep to get on skyline any road we went on. I guess a snowmobile or tracks for the quad would of done the job. Went over on Horn Mtn. and didn't see anything. I'll go back if I hear the elk have come down?? Thanks for any replies.

Hope you get on one. I used to hunt that area but it was 20 years ago. Back then the elk seemed to know the boundaries of where the cow tags were good and where they weren't after the first shot was fired.
