Are polar tip ups legal for Utah Ice Fishing?

i believe so, but you would have to get a 2 pole permit to use that with a rod. done it a few times and got a few but the pole is alot more fun IMO.

yes they are but distance from themis same as a rod. so you cant spread them out to far unless you want a ticket.

They can be fun to use bringing in fish hand over hand. It is more fun using 6 of them and live minnows up in WY. I bet you will like using it......Fishon

Yes, they are legal. I'll be using a few for burbot on the Gorge this winter if we get ice.
