Im a nonresident wanting to try and get in some ice fishing this Saturday at chesterfield. Does anyone have an ice report within the last few days? any info would be great.

Don't think it's going to be safe by saturday, it just capped, 3/4 of it anyway.

Word of caution. The ice is 4-5 inches on the lower end by the dam. However, the further up the reservoir you go, the thinner the ice gets. Be especially careful where there is snow/slush on top of the ice. I drilled a hole yesterday where I thought the ice was good and it ended up being 2
Inches. These cold temps should firm it up quick. It was -3 when we got there yesterday.
