djsmarinelectronics, Chickamauga, Crappie, 12/19, The Dog

I get a couple hours to get out and take the dog for a ride in the boat today, (she loves to fish) and no, I am not talking about my wife I am talking about the dog. So I run up to Grasshopper Creek and position myself legally between two of the 15 boats on the bank thinking man this should be a good spot with this many guys fishing this one bank. I stopped out from a laydown that was showing all kind of fish on the sonar and excitedly began fishing my Bobby Garland. While I am casting I see the guy to my left is catching crappie hand over fist as well as his partner. Every stinking cast this guy is catching a fish! They must have caught 50 fish while I was sitting there getting more frustrated by the moment. I noticed the guy to the right of me had not had any success either and had given up a few minutes earlier.

After about 30 minutes of throwing every color BG I had in the boat without a freaking bite, I put the rod up and start trolling toward them. This dude was a first class guy, told me what he was using, what lb test line to use and even gave me a couple lures and a jighead he was using to get me started my next trip. Even told me where to buy a full kit!

Oddly enough he was using a trout lure on 2lb test, have any of you guys used this method before? I mean, after watching them hit this lure time after time I have new excitement for my next trip out. I guarantee these lures will be in my boat next trip!

I was impressed with his willingness to share as are most of the fine people I have met and fished with on this forum.
