Three of us joined many others at Otter Creek to welcome in the new year. Catching was occasionally fast but most of the time we had to wait a few minutes between bites. We never caught anything other than fat and hard-fighting rainbows. Ice was about 6 inches thick. There is a little snow, here and there on the ice, but where there isn't snow the ice is extremely slick. Fish caught on various tubes, jigs and baited lures. Tipped with crawlers, cut bait, waxies and meal worms.

Great to here, that is one of my favorite spots to fish but I have never ice fished there. What end did you fish?

Around 19 inches. We hoped to catch one of the real lunkers that are in there but not to be. All of them are really fat.

If they were that fat, they must have weighed at least 3 pounds then, so that is a very nice fish. How was the wind?

Zero wind and bright sunshine until 2:50 PM and then it started to blow. Not extremely hard but enough to make it less enjoyable.
