Going to be in American falls and the area till Sunday!
Any pointers in where to start for fish? I have a 6 inch hand auger but don't know anything about the ice and conditions currently! Any help would be great. Willing to drive a bit for some descent fishing. Thank you! I'll report on how I do regardless. I have a feeling the cold wont let me be out too long! I heard -11 today!

go to sportsmans park in aberdeen. its easily accessible and you should be able to catch some perch.

i live in aberdeen and work in american falls. ice seems decent in both places, we had about 6 inches at big hole with some open water at the creek mouth still on the 1st of the yr so im assume at least 8 inches by now. didnt catch anything that day but did hear about a 10lb-er being pulled out near by a few days before my group went. sportsmans is solid also but havent heard any reports there or by the dam either. the dam looks solid. saw at least 5-10 groups out there with someone as close as 50 yds from the dam itself (kinda too crazy for me lol). again havent heard any reports but the ice seems safe® throughout. if you go tomorrow (sunday) post or im me with any reports, im planning on hitting the deck again monday
