Lower weber frozen
#1
Drove by the lower weber today at the mouth of the canyon and it was frozen[Sad], this cant be good I just hope the fish have somewhere to go, and cant be good for this years spawn. I hope its just that part of the river, was hoping to head up this week if it warmed up a little has anyone fished it lately?

I tried to find a spot to fish saturday. The river was frozen from the mouth of the canyon all the way up to Henefer. I'm guessing the extremely low flows out of Echo are a factor. Does anyone know if this has a negative effect on the fish?

This is not the first year nor will it be the last for the weber to freeze across. fish survive just fine under the ice. some of the weber species like the suckers can actually freeze, and come back to when thawed. The deeper holes don't freeze to the bottom. No worries.
