I called DK to see if he could fish the last hour or so of light and he was up to it. I had fished the morning and there were fish stacked up in a small area and had 4 fish on the first 4 casts so I thought that we would do even better at dusk. He was interested, I had a meeting cancelled and so we got to fish about an hour and a half. We started at the area where we had caught them in the past this time of the year and where I had caught some this morning. DK caught a keeper and a spot but the fish just weren't there yet so we went to my favorite brush pile in the creek and started catching fish. We had only 2 keepers but caught a total of 30 in short order. We were trying to outdo one another for the smallest fish caught, and we had some small ones. The top of the brushpile was at about an 8 count and the fish were very, very. active. We had about 30 minutes before the sun would be down and so we headed to my dusk fishing spot. Usually at some point in the last hour of light the fish turn on there and can be just out of control with good fish on most casts but the fish just never materialized. I had one good one on that I shook off trying to lift him into the boat and we had one or two more but I was really surprised that the fish just never got going there. I did not have a working temp gauge but usually if the water is cold the fish will be there at dusk. Maybe the water warmed up a few degrees. Anyway, winter fishing is great! Very few people on the water and lots of active fish. Thanks again for being available DK! It's always great to spend time on the water with you. DK has a couple of pics that he will post.

I almost forgot, we used 1/32 ozers, me with my favorite color, DK with a pearl and chartreuse bait. We also saw a family of raccoons that live in a cave nearby. We saw at least 6 and they just watched us intently.
