Flaming Gorge First Timer

My buddies and I are heading to the Gorge for the first time this weekend. I wanna catch some burbot for sure and have been doing a bit of research. It still will be a new experience for us, anybody willing to give some advice? Number one is where should a couple of guys go on the gorge to catch them?

How did you guys do and did you fish in the night for burbot?

We did decent. I wouldn't know for sure if our experience was typical or not seeing how I haven't ever tried it before. But, we caught 12 burbot fishing from about 4:30 pm - 10:00 pm. We missed on quite a few as well, and caught one pup lake trout in the process as well. Size was not tremendously impressive, where most of them were in the 12 inch range, but one was 18 inches and pretty thick. I really think it is supposed to be a bit better fishing than that and want to get another crack at it sometime.
