Late Fish Lake Report 1-12-13

On this past Saturday the scoutmaster of the Boy Scouts in my neighborhood invited me to tag along on an ice fishing trip to Fish Lake. I had never fished here before, and was excited to see how I did. It didn't disappoint. I was there from 7:30 until about 1:30 and experienced non stop action. It was mostly perch, (which was extremely fun) and only one trout (a rainbow) but i was fairly shallow compared to others. Others were catching more trout, but I was having a blast at the hole I was at. I know next time I may have to try harder to catch trout, but this time around I was just enjoying the catching. Yours truly hasn't done any fishing really since October (I'm going to ignore my skunk at Hyrum on New Year's Eve day [mad]) so this was like getting reacquainted with the joys of fishing. I was at the eastern side where there was nobody but us. Worms were the ticket, I was outfishing others who were using perch bait.
