Working alongside B.A.S.S. and other sportsman partners, the TRCP is convening a media event at the 2013 Bassmaster Classic that offers attending media professional networking opportunities, a field excursion and the chance to become better informed on national policy issues that matter most to American sportsmen.
The TRCP Freshwater Media Summit brings together a diverse cadre of journalists, policy experts and anglers to discuss conservation topics important to America's fishing and hunting heritage. The event focuses on water issues key to our outdoor economies and traditions and on giving participants the information and resources to communicate these issues effectively to their audiences. Agenda topics include wetland conservation and conversion, the future of water, and water quality and the future of bass angling.
Comprised of a series of speakers and panel discussions on Feb. 21 and a field outing on the morning of Feb. 23, the TRCP media summit is an important tool for outdoor communicators in all variety of markets.
The event is a collaborative effort of the TRCP and a diverse array of partner organizations including B.A.S.S., National Wildlife Federation, Ducks Unlimited, Izaak Walton League of America and the Conservation Coalition of Oklahoma.
