The ROCK 1-17-12
#1
Arrived 10 am, went home at 2pm. iced 4 trout, one went down the hole without measurement, three kept for dinner. first was 12.5 inches, second 13 inch they were thick in the body the last was a 17 inch pig I barely got out of the hole it was thrashing so much. way fun! all were bows, no perch action only tried to get bit on bottom for about 20 minutes. the trick was a white grub cricket on the 1/8 oz lead head with pink maggot (berkley) on the back. above I had a preserved minnow with pink maggot tipper on a stand out hook 8 inches over the jig both caught fish, the jig more than the minnow. I would drop to bottom then reel up no more than 10 handle cranks off bottom, so I think I was about 10 feet off bottom in what I would assume was 30 feet of water....I never measured or put the cam down.

no W that day, plenty of sunshine, did not even use the tent.

Good luck at the tourney if you are going up tomorrow.

tight lines,

Ice was at least 10 inches,
