Pineview redemption
#1
I just started ice fishing last year and my very first time out last year I decided to try Pineview. I got skunked bad. I didn't even get a bite and since then I have held a grudge against pineview and haven't been back since.
Today I had the afternoon free and I decided to try pineview one more time. I got there at 1 pm and left at 5 pm. I drilled one hole about 100 yards south of cemetery point and caught 50 perch. I never even got the chance to get my second pole in the water or set up my tent. The action was constant. I was fishing a Hali perch pattern on the bottom with a perch eye. About 12 inches above that I had an orange ratfinkee with a wax worm. Only about 5 or 6 were caught on the ratfinkee, the Hali caught the rest. I wish they had been bigger but it was fun to catch a full limit of perch by myself. They we all in the range of 5-9 inches or so.

Same thing for me, sir. I went up ten days ago and caught a perch on the very first drop down (in the narrows) and didn't get a bite for the next eight hours. I went to the south side of cemetery point two days ago and caught 100+ from 8:30am to 5pm. The best bait of the day was a little - and I do mean little - bit of perch meat on a SMALL jig. Took me a few hours of missing bite after bite to figure out that my hook was too darn big. Switched it down to the smallest thing I had and whamo.

I'm glad she was good to you, dude!
