late pelican lake report 1/20
#1
Hey we made a last minute decision to run down to pelican lake to meet up with a couple of our neighbors to do some more bass and bluegill fishing and try out some of my new custom panfish plastics/ new colors.

Well it was nonstop for us all day. we fished from 9:30am til 4pm between 4 of us we caught and released over 225 bluegills and bass. We usually dont keep any fish out of pelican lake as we dont want to mess with the parasites that are in some of the fish, so we just snap some quick pictures and let them go.

It was a cold one at -19below when we hit the ice but it warmed up some and the fishin was hot all day. heres some of our catch from yesterday.

biggest bluegill was 9" and 14" bass

my son caught 60 bluegills and 5 bass by himself [cool]

Yup it was another great day for sure with my son on the ice. He had to show me how it was done. He caught 15 more than me. What a fishermen at only 9yrs old.[cool]

I got me a new ice shack so the cold isnt nearly as bad as the old days of sitting on buckets at -20+
