Shore report
#1
Headed out after work this morning, went to Saddle Cove got there about 6:15. Did get into some cat and a lot of the dreaded one hit bait stealers. Fished there a few hours then decided to tour the lake. Ended up at 8.0 Mile Road and that's when the fun started. After doing a little scouting I settled on what looked like a well traveled area. I got my line out with an Anchovy on it, that's when the eruption commenced. Just down the shore from me the boil started, eventually it was right in front of me within casting distance. My other pole(I had been having problems all morning with the reel) wasn't ready for duty. The boil lasted long enough for me reel in and tie and retie just about everything in my tackle box. NOTHING. There were two boats in the area and they came up fishless. That was the first boil I have seen in 15 years, I forgot how fascinating they were. Between the one hit bait stealers and the boil it was a fun morning.
