Skunked at mantua

Me and the wife hit up mantua today.we tried everything we had and couldnt make anything happen .oh well still had fun gettin out fishin with the wife.thinkin next weekend were hittin up pineview. Any one going up next weekend let us know and lets meet up

Well that is too bad you and the wife got no fish, what area were you fishing and how thick was the ice?

We were out to the south side.we only went out about 300 yrds the wife didnt want to go out to far.ice was about 8" solid ice and about 3" of slush and snow

So the warm weather must have made the snow turn to slush, that isn't good.

I saw you said planning on pv next week the wife kids and I whent today and it was horrible either the edges thawed or the lake rose but you got to walk through eight inches or so of water to get to the ice people around us were catching ok but we only caught three in the few hours we were there the flasher showed them but the didn't want waxes or perch meat
