Made a last minute run to Lost creek today. Roads were dry pavement all the way to the dam in the morning. A.m. was foggy, late a.m. was sunny and warm, and early p.m. was raining/snowing. Started off in 27' and caught 2 then after a while moved out to 65' and caught 8. All were small rainbows and cutts. Overall I would say fishing was slow. There were 6 of us out there but I caught most of the fish. Everyone else only got 1 each. Ice was a clear 10" but a little wet along the edges. saw a few 4 wheelers and snowmobiles on the ice as well.

Ya i have gone out twice this year to lost creek. both times were very slow fishing. The first time my dad caught a fifteen inch rainbow. And a couple eleven inch cutts. The second time the fish almost pulled two of the poles into the water. Fish were bigger that time. Fished by the dam in seventy feet of water

I went to lost creek early in the ice fishing season. When I was there there was a small open patch of water in the middle of the reservior. The fishing was fast, but it usually is after first ice. Then it seems it gradually slows as the season goes on. That day me and my 3 daughters caught some beautiful bows and cuts. Largest was about 18 - 20". I didn't meaasure it though. We ended up catching and releasing 27 fish after 4 hours. We were in 40' of water just north of the dam. Lost creek has become one of my favorite spots to fish. I am interested to see how the slpt limit effects the fishing there over the next couple years or so.

I am curious as well. I remember fishing that lake when I was a kid and there was no paved road past Croydon. We used to always catch nice fat 20+" cutts. I sure hope those fish will get to the 20" range again. All we caught this last trip were little 10-12" fish.
Time will tell!
