Finally had the chance to go fishing today wasn't it supposed to be 65 and mostly cloudy????? LMAO!!!! Wrong!!! we got on the water at noon and got rained on for atleast an hour and a half!!!Anywho put in at the dam didn't go far for the fog was UNREAL and wouldn't lift no matter what, so we found a bazillion shad across the other side of the dam in the first creek and vertically jigged a red eye shad through the ginormous shad balls, we were praying for a huge strike from a Striper, Lm, or Sm nope that wasn't happening but what was happening was the catfish were just crushing that red eye shad, biggest cat went 5.5lbs caught 5 total and 1 lil white bass, water temps were 46.5 at the main lake and got up to 47.2 back in the creek water was stained vis. was maybe a ft at best and they were spilling and pulling water from the dam so was too dangerous to fish there, was major current on the upper and lower parts of the dam so we were surprised with the current flowing as well as it was that the bass weren't goin crazy, and the fog was sooooooo bad I felt for these fellas that hadn't fished there before, they got lost in the fog and took em over 3 hrs to find their way back to the boat launch thank god we didn't go far! emoCool
