didnt do to hot this year, fished firehole area both nights with 0 luck on saturday night. Friday we caught 10 in out team and the other teams we were with did about the same. caught one nice 5lb that was 27.5 inches. one of out other groups got 2 that size as well... werent in numbers but we got some fatties. heres a pic of my 5 lb burbot, first fish of the derby. none we caught were under 18 inches.. might go in a month to hit them for fun but this bash wasnt very kind to us.

wouldve been nice, still always glad to spend a weekend on the ice. theres always next year, i gotta say the burbot fishing is my favorite fishing through the ice, they just hit so good when your in them, such a rush

remember it's not to late to enter the reeling for relay derby next weekend we will be taking entries from 9 am to 9 pm at buckboard 23 fish won $1000.00 last year 15th place.

I can confirm the Slowness of fire-hole. It made me almost think that their were no Burbot in the lake. I caught a few, but it was the good fishing that everywhere was saying.
