We were there yesterday morning. on the ice at about 8:00 left at noon. slooooooow to dead! 7 poles 1-2 bites that was it. we were at the 1st turn out past the marina proper. 1/2 - 3/4 of a mile at least. very steep slope with big rocks to get down to the lake. Ice was in good condition. edges were good in the morning, so-so by noon. ice thickness was a good 10" with no slush, a couple inches of hard crusty snow on the surface. we started in 39' of water marked fish on the bottom, no takers. tried meal and wax worms, perch meat from our last outing, worms and power bait. after 90- min. I went closer to shore and drilled holes in 19-22' again had fish on the bottom and just under the surface. our group moved there still nothing. at about 11:00 my son in law drilled close to a bunch of branches that was sticking out of the ice. 13' fish all throughout the column. moved again, same results. Left at noon to go prep for the super bow. Saw one guy catch a rainbow, that was all I saw.

you didnt fish more south towards the flats off the boat ramp. Sounds like you were more towards the dam. i havnt had any perch success in that area at all this season. as long as there is not alot of slush ill find those buggers[:p] thannks for the conditions report

Man, I was contemplating going up there that same time. Glad I didn't. Sorry you didn't have better luck...but then I would have been mad I wasn't able to make it up![laugh]

The only thing worse than that kind of report is when you go fishing and catch nothing, and you get home and read online about how hot the fishing was at the exact same place you were fishing!
