well the only thing you will catch is trout at night. if the finder was showing fish on the bottom then they were perch and they were sleeping.

dang that sucks i have yet to hit the ice there this season, usually i go there the most in past years and i have noticed that once the ice is on for long enough to get a foot or so the trout slow down alot, it doesent mean you cant get them they just slow down for some reason. Ill have to give RP a try here soon to see if the perch or trout want to play.

I have had good days for perch and good days for trout but it seems the last two weeks it has really slowed down, I'm going to head to Strawberry next Tuesday instead of Rockport and give that a try

Out of curiosity, what was the moon like that night? I know nothing about such things, but I've heard people swear that such and such fish, in whichever lake, will only bite at night when the moon is in blah blah phase in the winter, and I'd like to know.
