Flaming Gorge 2nd Shot..Any Help?

Hey fellers, I am taking my dad and brothers up to the gorge this weekend. I went up almost a month ago and did ok for burbot by buckboard through the ice. I was kinda hoping to improve my results, especially since I am dragging a couple doubters with me. Anybody have any surefire counsel? Last time I just kinda targeted rocky points, and fished in about 30-40 ft of water. Caught 13 between two people. I felt good about it for a first timer, but I have heard of people absolutely killing it.

Anyway, appreciate any tips.

Two big tournaments, back-to-back weekends in the last 9 days, probably will keep it tough. Two or three teams slay 'em, everybody else is struggling, so I hear.

Went for the first time Saturday night and caught 17. Two guys. I just figured it would be best to stay away from crowds. If I was you I would fish mid lake and fish where no one has fished this year. The bite started just before dark and ended by ten. Good luck.
