Mantua slush?

heading up to mantua saturday morn . was wondering how the ice was. and the bite

Did you make it up there, if so how was the slush conditions?

yes we got up there had a late start on the ice at 11:00 .

no slush yet ice still 16" with half of that being frozen snow.
fish'n for us was slow only decked 2, 13" trout. guys getting off the ice that were fishing more to the east closer to the knoll. told us they did good. (gills and trout)

Thanks for the report, sounds like the Knolls is the place to be. I still have not made it to Mantua yet this year but it's good to know the ice conditions are good, just in case I decide to go during the week. How were the edges, as you were getting off the ice?

left at 3:45 or so.Edges were hard as a rock. surprising being such a warm day, although must of that warmth might have just been the sun reflecting off the snow. ended up with raccoon eyes from my sunglasses.
