Flaming Gorge Ice?
#1
Taking the family to Flaming Gorge tomorrow morning for the first time. Thinking of trying the north side of Anvil or Squaw Hollow or Skunk Cliffs. How is the ice in any of these areas? Want it safe for the kids and have had varying reports so we're a little Confused.

Any reports on the road conditions would be great also.

Looking to catch lakers (or even a laker). We wouldn't turn down any advice either. Thanks for looking.

Not 100% positive on sunk cliffs and Squaw but I would say that far north you should be fine. as for anvil, there is open water to the notheast, and a pressure ridge that has opened up about 15ft wide. there were a few brave souls that were going north of anvil and comming back down the lake around the open water and pressure ridge. ( a lot braver than me) Big bend has 12-15 inches

Thanks so much for the info. That helps make the decision of where to go easier.
