#1
went to echo again this weekend for some perch, decided to try a different area in deeper water to try my luck and ended up with a nice little pile. 44 fow, ice flies with eye balls.

there are some true hogs there for sure, if only i could get into a real mess of them, but i have been to echo over ten times this year and have come to notice that the perch here arent in these huge schools like your typical perch lake and they there is no reason they should be. that whole lake right now is a flat bottom that changes very little and if it does get deeper it takes some area to do that. personnaly i think they are the most consistent size perch in the state.

Even if you are not getting the numbers it takes a lot less 10-12 in perch to make dinner than 6-7inchers. Still looks like fun, and no, I still havent made it up there with the grandson. If we dont hurry it will be too late.

definatly man, i compared 12 jumbos {12+ inchers} from echo to 50 dinks from PV. more meat for sure. well if you ever want to try it this year let me know,im sure ill go there a few more times this year. the ice was in great condition, no slush or water on top. still about 20 inches thick though

Nice, very nice. Haven't been able to get there yet, how difficult is it to get a sled with gear down to the ice?
Thanks...
