The Warrior Princess and I just returned from fish lake. We fished the Joe Bush area and were not disappointed. Drillers a hole at 50' nothing. Drilled a hole at 32 no marks on the vex not hits on the jig. Drilled a hole at 18 and holy cow marks from 12' down. Jeanine dropped a jig and pulled up an 11" toad. We went to work and put a pile of perch on the deck mixed with spake and a nice 16" bow. When we lowered the camera the spake were circling just under the ice, looked like sharks. All tout hit about 3' off the bottom. Talked to a CO and he said spake had been hot in the bay north east of us in 40' of water. We started with #8 green ratfinkes tipped with wax worms above a silver machominnow on 1 and a silver 1/4 ounce castmaster with a finke on a dropper. changed to perch meat and everything hit on that. Caught fish on a number of lures including a Rapala jigging minnow in Perch color.Was going to spend today searching for Mack's however we had to return early.
On a side note we stayed at Fish Lake Lodge cedar cabin and highly recommend this for anyone.

What's the snow like on the ice...alot or a little?? Kinda thinking of a trip there soon. Thanks in advance.

Gotta Bite
In some places it was packed down in others about 6". 4 wheelers were struggling, we had sleds. There was no slush however this next storm may change everything. Ice was about 16 " thick. What snow was on the lake had been wind blown. Good luck

I got an invite to go down with some friends on Saturday. We went up by the Bowery, and walked out to fish. It was awesome. We caught perch and trout all day long. We caught well over 200 perch and lots of trout.

It was so good Saturday that I drove back down there from Spanish Fork with 2 of my kids and a friend of mine and his son. Spent the whole day out there. Went to the same general area, and it was on again. Perch every drop, and never more than 5-10 seconds between hook ups! We caught well over 400. We caught tons of trout too.
