Taking some scouts up to scofield for an overnighter and was thinking of taking 4weelers to pack out the gear but don't know if it's a good idea with the snow. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have taken scouts a couple of times this year. I didn't take my wheelers because I went on the far west side and access isn't good for wheelers. The ice is plenty thick 14 plus. The fishing is good early 7to 10 lot's of small cuts and a few tigers. Be carefully to check all licenses before you go DWR is out and about. They have been great to talk to. Have a great time. If you an find a place to access the lake a wheeler would do find. I was there saturday and wishi i had taken mine. The snow is a little deep around the lake but shoukd be managable on the lake. Of course this depends on what happens down there with the snow this weekend. Have fun.
