I had the privelage of taking 7co-workers Ice fishing today. We caught about 150 perch and about 7-8 trout. Prizes went to the 2 biggest Perch caught. First place was 11 1/2 inches and A Nils 8" ice auger was the prize. Second place was a 11 in perch and he chose a Jet Sled. Third place went to the longest trout which was a 20 1/2 inch German Brown. The prize was a Mr. Heater. We fished in the area south of the bridge. In 49 feet of water. It just doesn't get any better than this Good Fishing Good Friends and good FUN. And Coyote Threads of Heber City donated us all snow camo gear.

Kudos to ya for putting it together, and getting the gang out there. I'd be guessing you had some first-time icers?

That's awesome - putting the prizes together, and coordinating the trip. And bonus - getting on some fish!

Haven't heard much for any iced-walleye this year. So it either ain't happening, or mums the wurd!

I see this Minnesota/Midwest shows, and man - got me drooling!

Nice job on some chunky perch! No starvation steelhead? Big browns are always nice.

Glen, wish you guys had come over and helped us with the chowder and other goodies. Glad your group had a good time, but when they go with you thats a given.

[#800000]For sure you should have been there to help us with the chowder. See the TopH2O for the report. You for sure out did us on the trout, but we win on the numbers of perch - 6 guys and over 300 perch. I'm hoping to get one more trip over there before my surgery on 12 March. Maybe we'll hook up over there yet.[/#800000]

Steel heads yes we got about 6 of those and one German. Yeah these guys I took out only get out a couple times a year. Walleye? Shhh don't tell nobody but I have caught 6 this year through the ice just nothing really big. DuBob@ We would have come over with the group but I didn't know how big the school was. You gotta remember there was only one Perch hound in the 7 of us. You guys had 6 or 7 die hard Perch hounds. You animals. Gotta love them Perch. But don't say it too loud on here we might get the trout lovers to have heart burn. LOL
