Just drive up there. You can see where everyone is fishing.

I have never had great luck on the east side. Pump house and the weed patch a little further south always provided a lot of action for smaller macks.
Everyone loves the Rock Pile. I think it just hates me in general. The south side between garden city and laketown is the place where I marked as my spot. Overall it has produced the best results for me over the years. I know of other locations, but I don't know how good they are and have not gone to them myself.[cool]

Thanks all, im going bright and early in the morning with my dad, spent most of the day getting my gear ready just in case I get lucky, because my prior set up wouldnt if I did manage a big mak or cutt. Im going to go where ever looks promising which I have no idea seems how I have only fished there once and that was 5 years ago.

Your good anywhere you go on Bear lake with a Idaho license. The last two times Ive been ive got skunked but one time before that I got a 7,12,15lber in 2 hours, all back in the water to catch again. Thats bear lake for ya. All the places noted on the map have been hit hard with fisherman and the fish are being tight lipped. This is the most ice I have fished on at bear lake since I started ice fishing here 8 years ago. Good luck

Thank you, i plan on release anything I might catch as well.
I just want to catch a laker have never caught one and would like to get it off my bucket list.
I am taking my dad out there also ha has never caught a laker ether. I know my chances are not the greatest but figure the only way to catch one and get it off my list is to try.
I have all the same jigs and misc baits i have scene in pictures of others catches. so i figure my odds are ok. wont break my hart if i dont catch one but would be nice too.
