Give up on sauger for the year and went down toward chester frost to try for some of those florida largemouth. Picked a great day --- snow flurries and sleet all day long. looked the water over from the mouth of soddy creek down to chester frost. found alot of bait at the mouth of soddy creek and at dallas bay. did not find any bass that wanted to play even though we saw fish on the graph. decided to try some of the drops near the main channel where the water went from 30 to 10 feet with a spawning flat nearby. finally got some players. Reailey and I caught 4 today. picture of one -- no weight but measured 19.5 inches long. water temp was 47.9 and all fish caught on a t-rig with white paddletail grubs. Fish we caught were right on top of the hump off the main channel in 9 - 11 feet of water.
