DOVER, NJ (MARCH 05, 2013) - Casio America Inc. is proud to announce the launch of its latest Pro Trek timepiece - the PRG260. Designed for adventure-seekers and lovers of the great outdoors, the PRG260 is a resilient high-performance timepiece that offers a variety of different features such as a duplex LCD display, Casio's one-touch Triple Sensor Technology and Tough Solar Power.
"We are excited to introduce the PRG260, which we developed specifically with outdoor enthusiasts in mind," said Shigenori Itoh, Chairman and CEO of Casio America, Inc. "We strive to fulfill our customers' wants and needs and this timepiece was built with all the tools necessary to carry out any adventure, whether it be scaling the highest mountain or navigating the roughest waters."
Equipped with Casio's widely popular one-touch Triple Sensor technology, the PRG260 features three sensors, a pressure sensor for measuring barometric pressure and altitude, a thermo sensor for measuring temperature and a direction sensor for taking compass readings. Thus, making it the ideal timepiece for anything Mother Nature stirs up. And with Casio's Tough Solar Power with a Power Saving function ,the PRG260 powers down when not exposed to light for a certain period of time, thus conserving energy. To help maximize its solar rechargeable battery life, it can even judge ambient light conditions, to tell whether it should activate its Auto EL Backlight at the user's flick of the wrist.
The PRG260 also combines a digital compass with a sporty duplex LCD display, ensuring even greater visibility when taking readings. The directional pointers seem to float on the digital display while the rotating bezel allows for aligning with a map.
Intended for any vigorous and energetic outdoor activities like camping, cycling, fishing or hiking, the PRG260 is outfitted with a black resin band designed for comfort and durability. The PRG260 includes a stainless steel rotating bezel, which allows users to switch their focus between time and compass measurements. With the 200M water resistance, the PRG260 is great for any weather and is right at home around the water with no worries.
