Jmax, Chick, Crappie, 3/6/13, me, myself and I
#1
Inspired by Polo I decided to fight the wind and waves to see if I might catch a few crappie. I figured if Polo could catch 29 in one hour I might be able to catch a limit in a couple hours. emoAngel I did not have much time and the wind was really bad. Using 4 lbs test and a little dipped died crappie assassin it was hard to tell when I had a hit. Missed as many as I caught. Pretty much doing just what the Crappie Master Polo said I managed to boat a few. 16 crappie came into the boat, four bass and a large bream. I let the bass go, kept eleven good crappie and the one bream for fish fries. The best crappie was 14 1/2 inches and the best bass was three pounds. Catching a three pound bass on a little wienie rod with four lb test and a crappie jig is a lot of fun. They were caught on a 5 to 10 count from about 5 foot to 12 foot mostly. I had on a 1/16 head and they seemed to be ralating to some kind of chunk rock. Got to get ready to fry up some fresh crappie for supper.

Thanks Polo for the inspiration and information. emoWorthy Jmax
