I have been getting a lot of bass on these new baits. They are starting to catch bass on humps now because the water is warm and they are deep.

Its ok if you want a bobber and have it near the surface.
But the baits that I am talking about is for bass and using soft plastics near the bottom. If you want a soft plastic crawfish at the bottom most plastics just sink and lay on the bottom.
This bait will go to the bottom on a jig head but when it rests on the bottom the hole body and claws will stand right up off the bottom so the bass can see it in a stand up mode and not lay on the bottom like a rock...LOL LOL.
There soft plastic worms do the something.

Now the fall is coming I think the new floating crawfish beaver bait will work better. I was catching alot of bass this summer with it just Tx. rigging it. Going up to lake champlain this late sept and hopefully they are on the bottom eating crawfish. That craw beaver should work nice there. I will post some pictures after getting back.

White swimbaits and grubs have worked for me on Champlain in sept. Buzzbait over the chestnuts did well too. Maniac Baits make a great white grub that have produced a lot of fish for me there.

Thanks. I know black swim jigs work near me. I have some white ones but never really tried them to much. I see the temp at night are in the 40's there so maybe it will get the smallie moving more.

I tried to get his products in the stores up here. Guess I'm not a good salesman. I was making striper rigs at the time and we hit it off. Glad to see he's still at it, and his products are in stores out west.
