Rented a kayak and was out on the water at 5:30am. Fished until about 4pm and didn't catch a thing. I didn't see too many people catching fish in the was either. But I did talk to a guy pulling in his boat who caught 4 or 5 nice sized stripers. He had netted some shad and used the shad as cut bait. I thought that was interesting.

Anyways, still trying to shake the smell of skunk.

Did you read my fishing report? Fish early and late. The stripers are still in garbage mode.

Out of all the fish we got on Friday and Saturday none had shad in their stomaches.

The bigger fish are taking the larger gizzard shad but you may not get too many.
