Yesterday we fished close to the main marina. We nailed them. We caught 35 fish in 4 hours. Tons of fun. All but one was a cutthroat, and every one was in the slot.

Starting to get a little soft at the edges, but the ice was still nearly two feet thick.

Well... you are not helping me convince myself that ice fishing is done for the year. [:p]

Good on ya!

Took a couple of friends up yesterday, fished Chicken Cr. East. Caught two very nice SUCKERS. Didn't do so good on the trout.

Gosh I want it too melt so I can get on my float tube out there once again to slam some nice bows and cutties on my fly rod. The ice need to leave for once and for all.

My last ice fishing trip was in mid February.

I went back up on Friday, and caught another 27 fish. That is over 60 fish in two trips last week. This time I took my daughter and both my sons, and they all caught alot of fish, had a ton of fun.

With the heat last Friday, it was getting quite slushy though. That was likely my last ice fishing trip of the year as well.
