<br /> Got out this morning with Alvin and his son Will to enjoy the finally warm weather. Long story short fishing was SLOW. We bass fished for over 2 hours with only 3 bass to show for it: a 2 lb largemouth and 2 spots. I got lucky and tagged a nice 3.2 lb spot on a spinnerbait, fattest spot I have seen in a long time. Fish might have been 17&amp;quot; long max. <br /> We gave up bass fishing and started drop shotting for cats. They were willing to play. I got a hit and set the hook on one and it never moved. Alvin asked it were hung up and I said yeah but I could have swore one hit it. About that time the fish starts moving. I never got it off the bottom or got it to do anything. I fought it for about 30-45 seconds and it came by the boat and took off breaking my line. Never saw it but I am thinking it was a 20-30 lb flathead. Fun stuff<br /> We ended the day with 2 spots, 1 LM, 7 blue cats, and a 9 lb drum. Water temp was 52-53 degrees. Caught fish on spinner baits, pig n jigs and drop shot minnows.
