Gator, Chickamauga, Crappie, 4/8/13, Derrell
#1
Today I took the husband of the lady that donated a kidney to my wife 5 weeks ago. I've tried every way I can think of to thank him and his wife for their generosity up to and including taking him fishing today. Hopefully there will be more days I can take him. My wife and his wife are both doing great, THANK THE LORD!!!!!

He is a minner type crappie guy but today he learned about fishing with BG's and shooting docks. Today it was WINDY, WINDY, and Windy.
The boy caught onto it pretty good for a newbee. We were able to catch fish in most places, however the size wasn't great today. Most fish were caught under docks on about 5 or 6 count as long as the dock had 10 fow, however many were caught in brush that was at least 5 ft. deep, seems like the deeper the brush the better. We tried some shallow spawning areas but nothing found.

We used BG's all day, moglo white, chartruce, chicken, and shad colors, seems like the chartruce produced the best. We fished from about 8am until 3:30 and finished with 40 crappie and brought home 10 keepers.

A great day on the water, did I mention it was WINDY. Sorry forgot to take pics.
