reel maintenance
#1
Doing a little reel maintenance today since the weather is crappy. I am looking at a spinning reel and for some reason I have misplaced the instruction sheet that came with it. Where are some good points to add oil to? Thanks. Oh I am looking for some general info that would work for several different reels, the one I am working on is an abu garcia cardinal.[cool]

A touch of oil on each side of the handle where it attaches. and a touch on the spindle where it comes in and out. should be all you need. sometimes the knob.

Ben was telling me sewing machine oil is just the ticket. Same points - I could see - unscrew the drag spindle, and drop down the hole.

Plus - depending on the reel - some have a spinning wheel where the line runs through the throw arm.

Just respooled some fresh line, stepped up to some braid and heavier options for chasing my big kitties. Trying out some fluoro for a change of pace.
