Very Very Troubled

The events in Boston today have me very troubled. I wanna be raging mad, but , at who or what I don't know. How can a person or group of people become so hateful as to wantonly inflict such horror on unsuspecting, innocent people wholly unknown to them. Why?

I'll give you one guess. My guess would be those bad guys in the middle East that swore they would get revenge for Benloden's(sp?) death.

I'm suspicious it will turn out to be domestic right wing extremist group mainly because of timing. Oklahoma City bombing was April 19, 2000 I believe- I do know it was on the Anniversary of the start of the American Revolutionary War in Lexington and Concord Massachusetts. I lived in Massachusetts for 7 years before moving to Utah. Patriot's Day is a Massachusetts State Holiday marking the start of the Revolutionary War. It is always celebrated on the third Monday in April in the state. The Boston Marathon is always run on Patriot's Day. I'll wait for the evidence and not jump to conclusions. However, I wouldn't be surprised that the date was picked because like with OKC bombing these cowards think they are patriots starting a new American Revolution. Go get another cold one out of the fridge Kochanut.

The term right wing pisses me off a little. Left wing would be more accurate (certainly from the active shooters we've had in the past). I'm with you Kochanut, they'll look to push the act of a crazy man (if its not terrorists) and try and affiliate it to normal people who's rights they want to infringe on. I'm sure this will be an opportunity for this administration to act on restricting ammunition reloading components. Whoever did this they should hang publicly. It was tax day as well which does give some validity that some crazy person here in America may have done this. Anyone got an Alibi for Bill Ayers? Is he a right wing extremist? Oh that's right, he's Obamas boy.

I think I'd categorize Ayers as a Left Wing Extremist. It's dangerous to take any set of ideas too extreme. I certainly don't sympathize with any extremists of any sort. Sorry if I'm not PC enough like many politicians want the FBI to be.

If it wasn't on observed or actual Patriot's day like OKC bombing was my suspicion of the fringe right wouldn't be there. Of course someone could have targeted The Boston Marathon solely based on the fact that it attracts tens of thousands of runners and hundreds of thousands of spectators over a 26 mile course which is impossible to secure completely and could care less about the anniversary of the start of the American Revolution. Hopefully whoever is behind it will be found quickly.

We agree that the people who did this are a waste. I wouldn't say everything is to blame on Obama. I would say the idiotic assumption of "Right Wing" the media would portray is a farse. How about the moron who sent Ricin to the Pres and Repub Senatot? Liberal activist, but I doubt that will make much of a headline.

Supposedly one of the suspects is now dead and they're looking for the other one. A lot of people here can be critical of cops but I think the Boston police are doing a good job even if they use racial profiling. I was once pulled other by a black Boston cop for driving though a black section of Boston/ Dorchester in the morning, supposedly for running a stop sign. After a polite exchange he realized I wasn't buying drugs and let me go. I always get a laugh out of telling the story.
Geezer you've never appeared to be a fan of the judicial system so hopefully knowing there won't be a trial for the first suspect will avoid you additional anguish.
