Northern Pike or Tigers?
#1
Is there a decent place in the southern half of the state to target Northern Pike or Tiger Muskies?

Ive looked into that myself...its been a while...But I believe that in Idaho its slim pickins down south....Utah has some fine places I know....but as for ID its up north you go...Payette lake and Little Payette have some Musky.....we were wanting to chase some to and it looked like going all the way to Couerdelane was your best bet for Northern Pike...

There may be a few left in Lamont or Johnson Reservoirs by Preston, but I don't know that the population is enough to warrant a trip to target them.

I caught a 46 3/4" Tiger out of Lake Cascade, that isn't too bad of a drive, there are a few that are caught every year by the bass fisherman throwing small cranks, don't know anyone that actually targets them......

That's kind of what I was afraid of. Maybe I'll jump on the Utah forum and see what I can find. I know Pineview has them. Thanks for the input.

There's also Newton if you're willing to go to Utah. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends, so if you can hit it mid week, it would be a much more pleasant experience.
