Government VS Religion in the field.

I read this on Utahwildlife.gov and it made me vomit. [#ff0000]"Utah law doesn't allow a hunt to start on a Sunday," Stringham says, "so we're recommending that this year's hunt start on Monday, Sept. 2."[/#ff0000] (2013 UTAH Dove)
hmmmm....

Wow, that is ridiculous. No one has to hunt Sunday if they don't want to, but to not let the rest of us who might not otherwise be able to get out until the following weekend is just wrong. It starts the first of September every year, and I usually take off the opening day anyways, but that being a law is a bit much.

Not just Utah. There are currently 11 states that have some sort of regulation for hunting on Sunday.

In some places you are not allowed to hunt on Sunday at all. no matter when the hunt starts.
