#1
Going to try Yuba this weekend. What is your favorite fly for catching Northerns?

I found that perchy looking pike patterns that had a lot of gold in them, in about the 3"-6" range worked well, good luck

I hit it a few times last week and found that Olive/White with grizzly (you know, the little black bars going down the feather or fur) worked the best. I also had luck with white/chartreuse deciever's and clousers, as well as yellow and chartreuse. The colors that DID NOT work were anything that had orange in it. I have some killer perch patterns that I thought would double as decent carp minnow patterns that didn't get a sniff in two full days of fishing. Also, straight up white/silver minnow patterns didn't work either. I had better luck with longer flies (over 3 inches) but managed to catch a few on the smaller flies as well.
