Tips for a final trip
#1
Hey all,

Haven't been as active lately as i've been recovering and operating on my body repeatedly this last couple years. But I'm itching to get out!

My cousin and I are looking for a place to hit this tuesday. I'll be having another couple surgeries soon so it will likely be my last time out this year. Like to get into something with gills.

We are able to go anywhere from yuba to cutler. We are leaning towards either cats at Utah, Bass/Bluegills at Mantua or attempt for some wiper action at willard. What would likely be the best to hit this week?

We can take a canoe, pontoons, tubes or bank fish. We are able to fly fishing for all species or lure/bait fish. Can hit any body of water north of Yuba.

I'd like to do some wading into Mantua and flyfish/sight fish for the bass/bluegills like I did last year. Though I have no idea what time the gills start hitting the beds to spawn. Speaking of last year are waders required or is it as simple as just drying off and rinsing off really well soon as we leave the water to not have the parasite attacks?

So where would yall suggest going? Also are the crawfish up at Strawberry active yet? I'd really like to take an overnighter up there and come back with some for a family BBQ next week.

Thanks for any help!
